Summary Of 'Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening':

The poet or the speaker is going through the forest on a horse. They stop in the forest as they like it. It is very beautiful and its owner lives in the village. The owner will not see him stop and watch it filled with snow. The poet's horse is surprised to stop there as there is no farm house. They have stopped between the forest and frozen lake in the darkest evening of the year. The horse shakes the harness bell and asks if there is anything wrong. Master why are we stopping here ? He only hears the sound of the pleasant wind and soft flake. The forest is beautiful, dark and deep but the speaker has to go miles away before his duty.
